Cotton and Sugar Beets are our main crops. The San Joaquin Valley in California grows the finest cotton in the world, our crop is exported to mills all around the world. Sugar Beets do well in the valley with yields in excess of 30 tons per acre. Wheat and Safflower are grown primarily as a rotation crop as their value is low. The San Joaquin Valley grows an abundance of fruits and vegetables from Asparagus to Zucchini, we are also the worlds top producer of Almonds. There is almost no crop that is not grown somewhere in the valley!
